The Science of preventing aging

Aging happens on the cellular level, and 4 things happen at the cellular level that contribute to the malfunction and death of the cell.
1) our DNA (or cellular blueprint) is under constant attack, and the DNA either can be damaged or can repair itself from there. Antioxidants protect our DNA from damage.
2) There are portions of our DNA blueprint related to the longevity of the cell, these genes can be triggered to increase the longevity of the cell. Resveratrol works to activate these protective genes.
3) Mitochondria are cells that live inside our cells, and they process sugar into an exceptional amount of readily-available cellular energy. As we age, mitochondria die off or misbehave, which lead to lower energy levels and eventual cellular death.
